NICK TAYLOR

FOUNDING DIRECTOR / CHAIR
Nick Taylor is a Founding Director of Wheelchair Basketball Australia, bringing over 20 years of corporate expertise and elite sporting success to the organisation. A distinguished athlete, Nick is a two-time Paralympian who represented South Africa in Beijing 2008 before competing for Australia at the London 2012 Games, where he won a silver medal. In 2014, he reached the pinnacle of the sport as a gold medalist World Champion.
Professionally, Nick leverages a Bachelor of Business Science (Honours) and extensive experience in management consulting, IT, finance and philanthropy. A Graduate of the AICD, he serves on several boards, including Scope Australia, The Sargood Centre, and Forward Ability Support, and is a former Chair of Wheelchair Sports NSW/ACT.
Nick is dedicated to the growth of the sport, stating:
"Our vision for WBA is to elevate the national wheelchair basketball leagues back to their rightful place as the pinnacle of wheelchair sport in Australia and the primary pathway for international representation."
