EXECUTIVE GENERAL MANAGER
John is a seasoned sports executive and strategic leader with over three decades of experience in international sports. He brings a unique blend of high-level event delivery, broadcast expertise, and robust commercial acumen to his role as Executive General Manager of Wheelchair Basketball Australia.

Throughout his career, John has been instrumental in the production and management of some of the world's most iconic sporting events. His portfolio includes leadership and broadcast roles for the Sydney Olympic Games, Melbourne Commonwealth Games, Australian Open Tennis, the PGA Tour, the World Surfing Tour, and the Los Angeles Marathon. This extensive background has provided him with invaluable insights into event operations, stakeholder engagement, and the delivery of world-class athlete experiences.

A specialist in sports governance, John holds a Master of Laws in Enterprise Governance from Bond University. In addition to his postgraduate degrees, John has earned an extensive suite of industry credentials across sports governance, integrity, and leadership from institutions including Sport Integrity Australia, the Australian Sports Commission, World Athletics, and the University of Lausanne. His dedication to the integrity and growth of Australian sport is reflected in his various board and committee positions, including:
